To the south of The Wrekin between Much Wenlock and Shrewsbury the 2000 acre Leighton Estate boasts some of the best pheasant shooting in the region. With the River Severn meandering through its centre, the scenic views over the parkland at Leighton are exceptional. It follows that this topography lends itself to well-placed pheasant and partridge drives with rolling woodland overlooking the river valley on both sides.

Heading north above the river are numerous woods in and above steep sided gullies and undulating farmland, perfectly laid out for challenging high bird shooting. The Estate has 450 acres of well managed woodland and with a large area of game crops there are 22 separate drives.

Guns meet at the Georgian Leighton Hall for Coffee and briefing and lunch is provided in the recently renovated Kynnersley Arms situated in the middle of Leighton village.

Days are available for full teams and single guns with bags in the region of 150-250 birds.
